Oldham Council has launched a new Innovation Grant scheme offering businesses up to £10,000 to support growth and job creation across the borough.
The grant is open to businesses already based in Oldham and companies planning to relocate to the area. Funding is intended to help with investment in equipment, technology and projects that will help businesses innovate and grow.
Who can apply
Priority will be given to businesses operating in manufacturing, construction, digital and creative industries, and low-carbon technology.
Applicants must contribute 50 per cent of the project cost themselves. To receive funding, businesses must complete their project and create at least one full-time job by Sunday 28 February 2027.
What the council aims to achieve
The scheme is designed to support local enterprise, attract new investment into Oldham and strengthen the borough's position in key growth sectors.
James Kington, Director of Growth at Oldham Council, said: "This new grant programme is designed to give businesses the confidence and support they need to invest in their future. By helping businesses to grow and create new jobs, we can attract more investment into the borough and create more opportunities for local people."
How to apply
Businesses interested must register their interest using an expression of interest form. Guidance on eligibility will be on the form and if eligible, the Business and Investment Team will be in touch to discuss plans further and confirm eligibility.
